Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas holidays are the major events initiating increased shopping boost
France has achieved an e-commerce turnover of €74 billion during the first 9 months in 2019, Ecommerce News says.
During the third quarter of 2019, the overall turnover in France grew by 10.8% compared to the previous year. The total e-commerce in France was worth €24.6 billion in the third quarter.
According to Fevad, the Frech e-commerce association, the Frech e-commerce market size can exceed €100 billion this year.
Christmas shopping will reportedly be done mostly from Black Friday (29 November) to Cyber Monday (2 December). Online sales during these 4 days could reach €1.7 billion. At the same time, during the last quarter of the year, the French e-commerce could generate over €20 billion in sales.
The French e-commerce association has also revealed that since 2019, the number of French e-commerce websites has increased rapidly. For now, there are 191,700 e-commerce websites in France. There are currently 16% more online shops than last year.
